Know More About Brian

About

Brian Mueller focuses his legal practice on helping property owners reduce their real estate taxes through successful assessment appeals. For the past eight years, Brian has represented commercial and residential property owners, mostly in Missouri and Illinois, helping thousands of clients challenge excessive property tax assessments and achieve meaningful tax savings.

Real estate taxes are often one of the largest operating expenses for property owners. Brian works closely with property owners, investors, and businesses to ensure their properties are fairly valued under the law. His practice places a particular emphasis on commercial property tax appeals, where accurate valuation and a strategic legal approach can result in substantial long-term savings
Brian combines legal training with a strong background in accounting and valuation analysis. He is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois and passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam in Massachusetts. This financial background allows him to effectively analyze income-producing properties, market data, and valuation methodologies commonly used in commercial real estate assessments.

Brian graduated from Boston College in three years with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He completed Boston College’s Master of Science in Accounting program in eight months on a 40% merit-based scholarship. He later graduated from Washington University School of Law, where he was honored on the Dean’s List in 2008 and received the Excellence for the Future Award in Internet Law. During law school, Brian also served on the Wiley Rutledge Moot Court Board, where he had the opportunity to meet the current Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, John G. Roberts, Jr.
A lifelong St. Louis native, Brian spent five years helping coach wrestling at his alma mater, MICDS, during and after law school. In 2008, he received the Eric Scott Lewis Award, which is given to an individual who has had a profound impact on the MICDS wrestling program—an honor Brian still considers one of the most meaningful recognitions of his life.
If you believe your commercial or residential property may be overassessed, Brian would be happy to discuss your situation and evaluate whether an appeal may be appropriate.
